From new construction to roofing.
Robbie learned the trade from the ground up, working for his father for many years building high-end new construction houses. That is where he learned how a house goes together: framing, roof, windows, siding and trim, and how each piece affects the next.
He then spent time with a roofing company in sales and project management. That side of the business is all about the homeowner's experience: explaining the options clearly, planning the job, keeping people informed and leaving the property clean. In 2024 he put both halves together and started Millwood Roofing in Framingham.

“If you need snow and ice removal off your roof, call Robbie Smith, owner of Millwood Roofing.
He came out over a week ago to provide a free estimate. While the price initially gave me pause, I now realize it would have saved me a lot of stress and additional expense if I just had him come out right away to remove all the snow and ice because, fast forward to his week, I came home to severe ice dams and water leaking into two floors of my house. I immediately reached back out to Robbie, and he had his crew there the very next day.
I’m now dealing with an insurance claim, deductible, and interior repairs related to the ice dams that likely could have been avoided if I just hired him as soon as he gave me the estimate. In hindsight, the cost was absolutely worth it for the peace of mind alone.
